Cub Scout Promise and Law

Cub Scout Promise

In the UK, the Cub Scout Promise is a commitment every young person makes when they join the Pack. To ensure inclusivity, there are several approved variations of the Promise to accommodate varying religious beliefs and faiths, including non-faith backgrounds

We have included the official promise as well as some variations on this page, however if you have different faith please contact us for details.

I promise that I will do my best
to do my duty to God and to The King,
to help other people
and to keep the Cub Scout Law.

I promise that I will do my best
to uphold our Scout values, to do my duty to The King
to help other people
and to keep the Cub Scout Law

I promise that I will do my best
to do my duty to Allah and then to The King
to help other people
and to keep the Cub Scout Law

I promise that I will do my best
to seek refuge in the Triple Gem
to do my duty to The King
to act with compassion towards all life
and to keep the Cub Scout Law.
